Neota Genske - Founder & Premier Coordinator

Neota Genske has been planning events for over six years. She began her career as a corporate event planner for a large health care organization in Portland, Oregon. She began to focus on the wedding industry in 2006 and has become a major stockholder in the Portland wedding and event consulting business since she opened NRG Events & Weddings in 2008. In 2011, Neota relocated NRG Events & Weddings to service the Champaign-Urbana regions.

Neota earned her Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon. She is a volunteer around the community and enjoys spending her free time with loved ones.

Casey Young - Assistant Coordinator

Casey Young joined NRG Events in 2009 as a premier coordinator. Her attention to detail is arguably one of the best in the business as she leaves no stone unturned. Casey has coordinated many events throughout the past years giving her experiences that help enhance her eye for style, allowing her to create beautiful, flawless events. Along with her experience, Casey has the trademark professionalism and fun personality that NRG Events seeks in their event coordinators.

Casey enjoys spending time with her two beautiful sons, a blessing she cherishes every day.

Casey's number one goal is to assist our clients in having the most wonderful event possible while exceeding all expectations. Together with Casey and Neota's event experience, the team at NRG Events brings exceptional attention to detail, amazing organizational skills, a comprehensive network of vendors and event professionals, creative ideas and a fresh perspective to any wedding or event.

Ruth Bernard - Photographer

Ruth Bernard joined the team in 2008 as an event photographer. Ruth's passion for photography and eye for a 'perfect shot' make her a very important aspect to NRG Events. While Ruth is not required to be a primary photographer for our clients, she takes pleasure in being the photographer when a bride simply cannot afford the high prices of others. We are so happy to have someone dedicated to the photo not the bottom line.

Ruth has her Bachelor's degree from the University of Hawaii and her Master's degree from the University of Phoenix.

Every event is unique and has its own style, challenges, and moments. Working with different people, understanding their desires, and creating a personal story with digital imagery is her goal. Creating something beyond their expectations has been a wonderful experience time and time again.
